Artspace2Let is a not for profit organisation dedicated to exhibiting new and emerging artists' work in and around Edinburgh.

We know what it's like trying to get a foot on the art-career ladder, so we keep commission charges low, assist with hanging work and help artists to make connections that will hopefully help them to develop a supportive and informed network of contacts - as well as hopefully finding buyers.

Lewis, Elisabeth

“Having lived and worked in London, Venice, Treviso, Rome and various parts of Scotland, I am now settled in a beautiful conservation village in East Lothian. I retired from teaching three years ago and since then have lived La Dolce Vita: painting and teaching in my little studio, studying with exceptional tutors at the wonderful Leith School of Art and traveling to my beloved Italy whenever possible. I am inspired by the vivid colours and superb quality of line of Egon Shiele and John Bellany, exhausted ballet dancers, Italy and cemeteries… My ‘Marilyn’ series is inspired by Marilyn Monroe but not intended to be portraits of the actress. I have shown my ‘Marilyn’ doing mundane household tasks.”

More of Elisabeth’s work can currently be seen at The Roseleaf, 23/24 Sandport Place in Leith.
